Microneedling

Microneedling is a type of skin rejuvenation and collagen induction therapy, in which very fine, short needles are inserted into the skin to stimulate natural collagen and elastin production. This treatment has been made famous for at-home kits made with handheld dermal rollers.

There are many skin issues microneedling works to rectify, such as (but not limited to):

By doing minimally invasive and very precise micro-injuries in the dermis and epidermis, without causing open wounds or ablative damage. These small poked holes will close quickly, as they will trigger the body's natural healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production in the treated area.

Both collagen and elastin are essential skin proteins that give the skin a youthful bounce and supple texture. As we age, they start to diminish in their production, making way for signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, loss of volume and crepey skin. With microneedling these signs are significantly reduced through the stimulation of healthy cell regeneration. Wrinkles are reduced, loose skin is tightened and firmed, and scars can be naturally refilled.
